How I Got This Shot: I stood at the edge of the overlook and waited for the sun to peak just above the horizon. I used a 3 stop bracketing technique that started at 1/500 sec to properly expose the sky and decreased the exposure one stop at a time until I reached 1/8 sec to get the foliage exposed. I did not use a tripod or shutter release cable, the lens has an image stabilizer. In post-production, I blended the images together in order to form a gorgeous HDR photo.
