Stars over Ferrin Knob Tunnel, Milepost 401

by Malcolm MacGregor Photography

"Stars over Ferrin Knob Tunnel, Milepost 401" by Malcolm MacGregor Photography

Date Taken: 10/20/2015
Location: Ferrin Knob Tunnel – milepost 401 on the Blue Ridge Parkway, south of Asheville, NC

Camera: Canon 5d Mark iii
Lens: Canon 16-35 2.8L ii
Focal Length: 16
ISO: 3200
Shutter: 30
Aperture: 2.8
Filters: none
Exposure: Manual
How I Got This Shot: Photographed about an hour before sunrise, so it was still dark enough to capture many stars in the sky. I wanted an interesting yet unique shot of one of the many tunnels on the parkway. I was able to find one that I could frame with the night sky.
