How I Got This Shot

I was looking for a nice opening in the greenery where I could get some foreground and at the same time show the distant mountains . I had to wait until the passing clouds cleared enough in the distance to reveal the depth of field to near infinity, which was short lived. Using the 3 stop Graduated Neutral Density filter enabled me to balance out the exposure between the sky and the ground more evenly. I used manual focusing and set the focus mark on the lens scale’s left side of the infinity band to ensure maximum depth of field. A two second self timer then captured the image.
