Location: Blue Ridge Parkway near Meadows of Dan, Virginia
I was traveling the Blue Ridge in search of rhododendrons in bloom when I saw this beautiful ridgeline. In the far right upper background you can see a view of the Great Valley.

Camera: Canon 5D Mark III
Lens: EF f4L 17-40mm
Focal Length: 35mm
ISO: 100
Shutter: 1/20
Aperture: f22
Filters: None
Exposure: Manual
How I Got This Shot: For this shot I had to pull my car to the side of the road. There was very little traffic this day and I quickly set up on my tripod. As it turned out the crepuscular rays were brilliant all afternoon. I used a manual setting and bracketed this shot with a +3, 0, and a -3. I later combined them in Photomatix Pro to become an HDR image.
