Coming down from Tennent Mountain this is the view into Shinning Rock Wilderness Area. It was so clear and beautiful, but every day hiking on the Blue Ridge is a good day.

The sunset on top of Tennent Mountain was amazing while it was setting close behind Black Balsam Knob. It was also very cold, but worth the stunning vistas and views and sunset all combined into one spectacular moment.

I just loved the cloud formations in the sky. This is the view coming down Tennent Mountain looking into the Shining Rock Wilderness Area. My fingers hurt so badly from the cold on this side of the mountain, but it was worth it trying to get some nice shots of the sky and the mountains.

Coming back from hiking over Tennent Mountain the sun setting over Black Balsam Knob was stunning. Such a beautiful clear day and always a nice area to take in a multitude of views.

Location: The bald at Craggy Gardens Visitor Center
It was so cold on Monday when I drove by and had to stop at one of my favorite places, Craggy Gardens. The cold air on top of the bald almost froze my hands, but it was so worth it to see this spectacular sky and scenery.

Location: Graveyard Fields, Lower Falls
Got out today on the Blue Ridge and stop for a moment at Graveyard Fields to capture this image with the great cloud formations behind and the waning fall colors surrounding it. No wonder this is one of the more popular stops along the Parkway. Such a beautiful area with such easy access for so many.
