<p>An ideal spot for watching sunrises and sunsets across the rugged mountains, Waterrock Knob Visitor Center sits at almost 6,000 feet elevation. A 1.2-mile round trip hike from the Visitor Center will take you to the top of the summit, where you can see views of up to 50 miles, including the <a href="https://www.virtualblueridge.com/parkway-place/great-smoky-mountains-national-park/" target="_blank" rel="noopener">Great Smoky Mountains</a> and Maggie Valley.</p>
