A foggy afternoon shot: Holloway Mountain Road passes beneath one of the stately bridges of the Blue Ridge Parkway near Blowing Rock, NC.

Camera: Canon 6D
Lens: Canon 24-105mm
Focal Length: 47mm
ISO: 200
Shutter: 1/200
Aperture: f/4.0
Filters: B+W Circular Polarizer
Exposure: Aperture Value
How I Got This Shot: On this overcast afternoon I went to a few overlooks hoping the clouds would part and provide a rainbow capture. No such luck. As I was leaving the parkway, the clouds parted just enough for this haunting image of the parkway bridge. I grabbed my camera and knelt in the road. The scene seemed to beg for the classic “rule of thirds” composition.
