How I Got This Shot: All photographers want that unique shot that no one else has, but any of us will tell you that’s easier said than done! I feel like I got that shot with this one from Price Lake, and it was in the most unlikely of places.
Most of the leaves were stripped from the trees by the time I was able to get out to Price Lake. Walking the trail, I was sure I wasn’t going to be able to find any shots worth keeping. I stopped at a bridge and looked down into the shallow water. That’s where I found my leaves.
It was one of those “Ah-ha!” moments. The early morning sunlight was hitting the water just so to turn the sand to gold and create beautiful, dancing designs.
I have tried to recreate this shot many times, but I’ve come to accept that it was a once in a lifetime deal. Just goes to show, you never know where you might find your next masterpiece. Always keep that camera handy!
