Date Taken: 12/20/2013
Location: Milepost 296
I hiked a section of the Mountain to Sea Trail and came to this beautiful stretch of Boone Fork Creek with rocky cliffs overhanging.
Camera: Canon 6D
Lens: Canon 24-105mm f/4L
Focal Length: 73mm
ISO: 100
Shutter: 3 Secs
Aperture: 22
Filters: Marumi Super DHG Circular Polarizer
Exposure: Manual
How I Got This Shot: The sun was blocked by a thin veil of clouds. I generally prefer MUCH cloudier days when photographing moving water to cut down on reflections and allow me to achieve a slower exposure with fewer headaches. The thin veil was just enough. I used a circular polarizing filter to cut down on the glare from wet rocks and to extend my exposure time slightly. A tripod is a must for this type of photography as no one can hold a camera perfectly still for 3 seconds.
