Autumn Colors at Graveyard Fields

by Charles K. Hardin Photography

Autumn Colors at Graveyard Fields

Location: Near MP 417 just before you reach the Graveyard Fields coming from Asheville

Autumn begins 2013
This photo was taken Sunday 9-29-13 just after sunrise looking towards the second waterfall at the Graveyard Fields. Fog was everywhere, as I was standing there the fog rolled out long enough for me to take this shot! Shortly after it rolled back in.

Camera: D-300s
Lens: Sigma 17-50mm F2.8
Focal Length: 24mm
ISO: 200
Shutter: 1/5 of a second
Aperture: 11
Filters: Tiffen HT Polarizer
Exposure: Manual
How I Got This Shot: I got this shot by waiting on the weather to clear. I was at Black Balsm for sunrise and that just didn’t happen. As I drove down the mountain the color here caught my eye. I then waited for the fog to clear long enough to get a few shots. I was lucky!
