How I Got This Shot: I arrived at the Saddle Overlook before sunrise to ensure enough time to set up my gear. A tripod was necessary due to the slow shutter speed that was necessary to capture enough light. It was very windy, which is rather common for this area, so I weighed down the tripod with my camera bag. The Saddle Overlook offers an extensive view of the Blue Ridge and is located in Virginia near the Rocky Knob trail.
