Date Taken: 10/17/2012
Location: MP 27
The fog seemed to be getting very thick, all of a sudden, that’s when I get out of the car and start shooting – This was captured on the BRP at MP 27 during my fall tour of the entire parkway.
Camera: Canon 5d MKII
Lens: 24-105 f4L IS USM
Focal Length: 80mm
ISO: 100
Shutter: 1/25
Aperture: f/9
Filters: None
Exposure: AV
How I Got This Shot: As I noticed the fog getting thicker and thicker I seemed to be pulling off every few minutes. I saw images forming in my mind and how I would process them. THE wind was really blowing which was blow the fog around quite a bit as well with a shutter speed of about 1/25 you have enough time to capture a bit of movement – I was on tripod as I don’t shoot below 1/60 second handheld especially in the wind. I played with the composition a bit and found what I wanted, however I would have liked more of the road in the left side of the frame but I could not due to landscaping in my way – so I shot anyway – always take the shot, guys, it’s free! Good Luck out there and happy shooting!
