September Morning At Graveyard Fields – a little color being already displayed at Graveyard Fields. I captured this Sept 19 2013, as the thick fog and clouds rolled in. And no one was happier than me that I caught a break and finally received good waterfall shooting conditions at Graveyard.

How I Got This Shot: A short hike arrives you at the top of this waterfall. As you make your way down to the bottom section you can walk across the rocks if the level of water is not to high! Once there, you can traverse across the rocks to find your spot. I shot from many different locations and spent about an hour in this section!
As mentioned above, I had a variable neutral density filter on and a circular polarizer because I wanted to stop out as much light as possible and cut any reflection in the water so I could see through the water in the resulting image.
I processed this image in LR5/PS to bring out all of the details I captured because I shot in RAW. RAW rocks my friends. I wanted to maintain the deep dark shadows to shape the lines in the foreground and shooting in RAW helped me to achieve that. Having a cloudy day also helped because it produces even light with no crazy highlights that will blow out when shooting at a few seconds or more.
