Date Taken: 10/22/2020
Location: US-276 from Brevard
Looking Glass Falls is one of North Carolina’s most popular waterfalls because of its large size and ease of access. A classic waterfall beauty, it features a 60-ft spilling waterfall cascading in a single picturesque drop.
Photographer's Message
If you want great waterfall pictures you have to get wet! An unseasonably warm October made wading into Looking Glass Creek a refreshing experience. Using a tripod and wading out into knee deep water I positioned the camera to include some rocks and fall leaves in the foreground. Stacking an ND filter and a graduated ND filter allowed me use a shutter speed slow enough to get the motion blur from the water.
