We got the perfect start to the New Year with an early-morning pink, misty sunrise from Elk Mountain Overlook.

Elk Mountain Overlook is on the Blue Ridge Parkway in between Boone and Deep Gap, North Carolina. It provides long-range views into the Yadkin Valley.
The Blue Ridge Parkway has over 200 scenic overlooks along its 469-mile length.
