How I Got This Shot: Early morning or late evening are the best times to expect to find still water. This was very late in the evening, about 30-40 minutes before sunset. The reflection was beautiful and I thought the trees along the shore were interesting enough. But, I needed a foreground element. I thought these boulders and wildflowers would be perfect.
To enhance the reflection, I used my trusty Marumi Super DHG Circular Polarizer. I turned it to maximize the reflection, then backed off just a touch to reveal some of the nice rocks just below the surface of the water. A tripod and cable release was also used.
