Location: Waterrock Knob, Milepost 451.2 on the southern end of the Blue Ridge Parkway near Maggie Valley, North Carolina.

An ideal spot for watching sunrises and sunsets across the rugged mountains, Waterrock Knob Visitor Center sits at almost 6,000 feet elevation. A 1.2-mile round trip hike from the Visitor Center will take you to the top of the summit, where you can see views of up to 50 miles, including the Great Smoky Mountains and Maggie Valley.
