The Blue Ridge Parkway is a long road (469 miles) covering a lot of mountainous and rural country. There are some great hotels to stay at along the many from the small and quaint to the grandiose and elegant.
If you are looking for luxury, you’ll want to look around Asheville, NC and Roanoke, VA. These are the only true urban areas through which the Parkway passes.
Take a look at the Places To Stay section of this site and you’ll find some great options. Don’t forget to sign up for our email updates because we feature great hotels on the Blue Ridge Parkway and often discounts and giveaways for hotel lodging.
You will likely see lots of options along the Parkway for other types of lodging like cabins and bed and breakfasts. These may or may not be right for you. Ask yourself a few questions about your wants and needs when making this decision. Some people are more comfortable in a more home-like environment, but may not be anxious to get to know the innkeepers and other guests more personally.
Here are a few questions to ask for finding a great Blue Ridge Parkway hotel.
- How far are you from the Blue Ridge Parkway?
- Are there any large groups scheduled for the dates I am looking at?
- What are some of the local attractions and how far are you from them? (Many hotels keep a local attractions list handy.)
- Are pets allowed? (Even if you don’t plan on bringing them, you might want to know if others are.)
- Are laundry or kitchen facilities available?
- Are there any restaurants close by?
- Do you offer a discount if I mention Blue Ridge Parkway Daily? (Many Parkway hotels are sponsors of this site and you may get a percentage off by mentioning our name.)
Make sure and check for reviews of the hotel on major review sites before making your reservation.
