Date Taken: 10/19/2014
Location: French Broad Falls
This is a picture of French Broad Falls (Mill Shoals) in the rear and Shoal Creek Falls in the foreground. This is the confluence of the North fork of the French Broad River and Shoal Creek. It is located about 9 miles south on Highway 215 (south of Graveyard Fields), on the private lands of the Falling Water Ministries. I suggest parking in their lot and asking permission to photograph. A donation is also suggested.

How I Got This Shot: This was taken on the afternoon of 10/19, during my annual week long motorcycle ride down the BRP. It was a beautiful day. The shot details are as above. This was a 3 shot HDR processed in Photomatix PRO with additional enhancements in Lightroom, Photoshop and onOne Perfect Effects.
The site here is very dramatic and not nearly as crowded as some of the other “name brand” falls. There are multiple vantage points to choose from, but I like the duality of the 2 falls.
