Location: Boone Fork, Milepost 296.7 on the Blue Ridge Parkway at Julian Price Memorial Park
“Below The Yellow Canopy”
Boone Fork is one of the most beautiful mountain streams in Western North Carolina. It really shows it’s beauty in the Fall of the year with a canopy of yellow leaves framing the stream.
Camera: Canon 5D MKII
Lens: Canon 17-40mm
Focal Length: 23mm
ISO: 200
Shutter: 2 seconds
Aperture: f/8
Filters: Circular Polarizer
Exposure: Manual
How I Got This Shot: A tripod is always a must when shooting flowing water. Another vital key element to capturing this scene was a polarizer filter. Using a polarizer filter takes the glare off of wet rocks and wet leaves giving them a more saturated look.
