Date Taken: 07/01/2014
Location: Craggy Gardens pulloff. Looking southeast.
This picture was taken during the “Blue Hour” just after sunset. The blue colored wavelengths become scattered and reflected back to earth, while red hues pass through the atmosphere to space.
The photo was taken at the Craggy Gardens overlook looking southeast. The fog was starting to roll over the ridge behind me on the northwest side of Craggy Gardens.

How I Got This Shot: Camera was mounted to a tripod. I used a shutter release cable to minimize shake. I positioned the camera such that I could get the flowers and grass in the foreground and the sky and valley in the background. I wanted the flowers to be in focus in the foreground, so I used a 5.6 aperture and focused on the foreground.
